The Hopf family has been crafting instruments since 1669, passing down their tradition from generation to generation. Today, Hopf stands among Germany’s leading guitar manufacturers, with many luthiers having trained at Hopf before establishing their own workshops.

Currently, the company is led by Dieter Hopf, a highly respected luthier known for his innovations in concert guitar construction, including various advancements and patents. His instruments have been played by renowned musicians such as Baden Powell, Alexandre Lagoya, Michael Tröster, Joana, and Joe Sander of the Johnny Cash Experience.

This masterful instrument features a spruce topmaple back and sideswooden tuning pegs, and adjustable frets. Despite its small body, it produces a remarkably full and sweet sound with impressive volume, instantly transporting the player to a different musical era.

In very good condition for its age, the guitar shows only minor signs of use

A truly wonderful instrument for those seeking to bring the music of the Renaissance and Baroque periods back to life.
