Custom-Made Guitar by Manuel – A Unique Blend of Classical and Flamenco

This very special guitar was custom-ordered by me directly from Manuel, a talented luthier in Spain. I asked him to build a guitar that would work beautifully for flamenco styles, which is why it features a spruce top  for dry and responsiveness, combined with Cypress back and sides for depth and projection.

The guitar is fully handmade in Spain, crafted from solid tonewoods, and finished with nitrocellulose lacquer. Manuel builds high-quality instruments at very accessible prices. I first met him in 2019, while working for La Guitarra Buena. I picked up some guitars there and took the opportunity to visit a few newer luthiers.

When I saw one of Manuel’s guitars, I knew within five minutes I had to order one for myself. The result was incredible—and ever since, I’ve been ordering guitars from him. These are not factory-made instruments; they are true handcrafted guitars, each with its own character and iconic voice. That’s also why it took a full year to receive these two beautiful pieces!
